A Strip View

Good news. I got that job on the Strip that I've been trying for the past few weeks. They called yesterday to have me come in today and get processed. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to live with my grungy off-strip job for a couple more weeks since I don't go through orientation with my new place until the week of the 14th. Yep, that's right. Their orientation is 8 hours a day for an entire work-week! Then I'll be put on the schedule after that.

Today I went in to get processed and went and took my drug test. I wanted to get a haircut, but after heading to the bank and also paying rent, I'm out of time. I've been awake since about 4pm yesterday, and I work tonight at 7pm. So I need to get some shut-eye! But I just wanted to give this quick update.

Once again, this isn't the best Strip job by any stretch of the imagination. Also, like my current place, I'll be part-time getting about 4 full days a week. However, the money will be NO worse (will probably be better) and I won't be dealing to the same moronic degenerate stroking chain smokers every single damn night for 8 hours straight! So I got that going for me. My chief challenge now will be to get motivated to work these final remaining shifts at Degenerates-R-Us! Wish me luck that I don't do anything stupid in these next couple of weeks to get fired! :-)
